Hands On Cooking Class – Easy Home Made Mexican Tamales with Belinda

Easy Home Made Mexican Tamales with Belinda Rodriguez

Saturday, November 9, 2019 – Davis, CA

Tamales are a great crowd pleaser any time of year, and they are best made with a group. At this hands-on class you will get the recipe for and prepare 2 fillings (vegetable and pork) and fill tamales with them. Enjoy a light lunch in between the two activities. Tamales freeze well and are fun to serve over the holidays.

Guests will be greeted with a glass of Agua de Jamaica and a packet of all of the recipes. Our instructors are Belinda Rodriguez, an experienced home cook from Woodland, and, Ann Evans, author of the Davis Farmers Market Cookbook.  We begin with making guacamole in a Molcajete, followed by a review of the recipes and dividing into teams of 2.
